Jobless Claimant Count Doubles Across Harborough

The number of people across the Harborough District claiming unemployment benefits has more than doubled since the coronavirus lockdown began.

Offical figures out today show 1,530 needed help last month, up from 705 in March.

Across Leicester and Leicestershire the figure jumped by over 12,500 – in Northamptonshire by nearly 9,000.
