Investigation Continues Into Violence After Harborough Town Game

Police are working to identify those involved in fighting after Harborough Town Football Club’s home game against Corby Town on Saturday.
Large scale disorder broke out in the car park outside the ground involving around 100 people, with a man and a police officer injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
Footage from officers’ body-worn video cameras is being reviewed, as part of the investigation into the trouble.

Police are also appealing for anyone with mobile phone video footage of the incident to make contact with them.
Sergeant Ryan Coleman said: “Our enquiries to establish the circumstances of the disorder and who was involved are continuing this week.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who was at the match and captured any footage on their mobile phone.

“Likewise, I’d encourage anyone who thinks they can help but who has not yet spoken to police to come forward.”

Both clubs have condemned the violence and pledged to ban anyone identified as being involved.
