‘White Substance’ Flowing Into River Was Milk

Anglian Water say a white substance that flowed into the River Welland in Market Harborough was milk.

Engineers were sent to investigate after a large amount was seen coming out of a storm drain at the bottom of the Memorial Gardens last night.

The company says an ‘unknown third-party’ was responsible for pouring it down a drain.

The Environment Agency says no reports of damage to the river environment have been received.
