Inquests have opened into the deaths of two teenage brothers who died when a car crashed from a bridge onto the M1 near Lutterworth.
Luke Jackson, 18, and Ethan Jackson, 16, from Barwell, died in the collision on April 10th after the car they were travelling in left the Gilmorton Lane overbridge and landed on the southbound carriageway below.
The inquests were opened at Leicester City and South Leicestershire Coroner’s Court on June 10th.

The car crashed off Gilmorton Lane on to the southbound M1 near Lutterworth
Assistant Coroner Mrs Hockin said she was aware of the cause of death but would not read it into the record at this stage. Both inquests were then suspended pending the completion of a collision examination report.
Police previously said a blue car travelling along Gilmorton Lane towards Lutterworth left the bridge and struck a white Fiat Ducato minibus travelling on the M1 below.
Four people travelling in the minibus were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
The brothers were both students and friends described the pair as inseparable and “full of life”.
