Inflatable Fun To Launch At Harborough Leisure Centre
Written by HFM News on 9th August 2024
Young swimmers are in for a treat when new inflatable sessions launch at Harborough Leisure Centre tomorrow.
They will then take place every Saturday afternoon as the giant Atlantis inflatable bounces into the newly refurbished pool, after it re-opened at the start of the week.
It is one of the additions to the centre as a major refurbishment programme funded by Harborough District Council continues.
Cllr Jo Asher is Portfolio Lead for Leisure and has been given a sneak preview:

Inflatable pool sessions will be held each Saturday from 4-5pm and 5-6pm and can be pre-booked by visitors.
Lifeguards have undergone specific training on the management of the new inflatable and will be on hand to supervise and ensure all users are correctly wearing a buoyancy aid, which will be supplied to all swimmers, to enjoy the full experience.
The sessions are suitable for children and adults aged five years and above.
Visitors aged five, six and seven years old must be accompanied in the water at all times with an adult on a one-to-one basis.
All visitors should be able to swim 25 metres (with a buoyancy aid) and be comfortable in deep water (1.8m). The sessions will be attended by an increased number of lifeguards and additionally monitored using underwater cameras for swimmers’ safety and support.
Matthew Hopkin, Everyone Active’s contract manager, said: “We are excited to launch the new Atlantis inflatable sessions at Harborough pool following tailored training with staff.
“It has been brilliant to welcome back pool users at the centre this week, and feedback so far has been great – with the new immersive lighting in the snake slide proving to be especially popular this holiday period.”
