Horse Rescued After Getting Trapped In Gate

Firefighters have rescued a horse after it got trapped in a five-bar gate in Ashby Magna.
Crews from Lutterworth and a specialist technical rescue unit were called to Peatling Road at 1.30pm today.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service say the animal was sedated by a vet before cutting gear was used to remove the gate and free it.
The horse was then handed back to its owner.
The spokesperson added a second horse remained at the scene during the incident, for companionship of horse that was stuck.
