Homebase Store Likely To Become ‘The Range’

It looks likely the Homebase store in Market Harborough will be taken over by homeware retailer The Range.

The store off Springfield Street is not on a list of over 70 Homebase branches put up for sale, after the DIY chain collapsed into administration earlier this month.

However, there is no official confirmation that it will be taken on by CDS Superstores, which trades as The Range.

The company bought 70 Homebase stores safeguarding up to 1,600 jobs, but has not yet released the locations.

It is understood staff at the stores purchased will be taken on by the new owner.

Administrators Teneo Financial Advisory have also not confirmed which stores have been saved.
