Police Deal With Unusual Roadblock After Portaloo Dumped

Police have dealt with a rather unusual road obstruction after finding a portaloo dumped in the middle of a country road near Lutterworth.

Officers came across the portable toilet during patrols and joked that, despite appearances, it wasn’t a Tardis and the blockage was quickly dealt with.

A member of the public had already alerted the company responsible for the portaloo, and officers remained on Mere Lane between Ullesthorpe and Bitteswell to make sure the situation was safe while it was collected.

The road has since been cleared and the wandering loo has been reunited with its rightful home.

In a tongue-in-cheek post on social media, officers reminded motorists and residents to report unusual objects causing blockages on the roads so they can help keep traffic moving.
