Market Harborough Blooms Ahead of Judging

Market Harborough’s In Bloom team is making the final preparations ahead of judges from the East Midlands in Bloom competition visiting later this week.
This year’s entry is especially significant as the volunteer gardening group celebrates its 30th anniversary and hopes to win the Large Town category for a fifth consecutive year.
Displays have been created across the town, including the town centre, Welland Park, the railway station and St Luke’s Hospital.

More than 2,700 plants feature in the displays, along with over 40 barrier baskets at the railway station, where a train driver recently got out of his cab to check if the flowers were real, after mistaking them for artificial silk.
