Man Arrested After Robbery At Market Harborough Shop

A man has been arrested after a shopkeeper was threatened with a kitchen knife during a robbery in Market Harborough last night.
The incident happened at Keya News on Logan Street just before 6.30pm, when a man produced the weapon and demanded the till be opened.
When the shop worker refused, the robber left the shop empty-handed.

The suspect was dressed all in black, had a red scarf over his face and was wearing disposable blue gloves.
The male worker was left shaken by the incident, but was not injured.
Leicestershire Police say a 44-year-old man was arrested this morning on suspicion of robbery and is currently being questioned by detectives.
