Frustration Over A6 Lane Closure in Kibworth Amid Empty Roadworks Site

Drivers are facing lengthy queues on the A6 in Kibworth due to a lane closure despite no work currently taking place.
Temporary traffic lights have been in place near Kibworth Business Park on Harborough Road since late last night, for planned work by Severn Trent Water.

Drivers have been left frustrated, with one saying: “Just drove past from work. Absolutely nobody there. Communication and planning is shocking. I feel for emergency vehicles who will struggle to get through safely.”
Another said: “It’s a complete joke and is causing unnecessary delays and stress for hundreds of drivers.”

Both Severn Trent Water and Leicestershire County Council, which issues permits for such works, have been approached for comment.
