Driver Crashes Into Ditch On A6

Police say no-one was seriously hurt after a driver crashed into a ditch on the A6 near Kibworth yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the single-car collision on Harborough Road just after 3.15pm.

Two people were trapped in the car and had to be cut-free by firefighters, before being taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Police have confirmed no life-threatening or life-changing injuries were reported.

The A6 was closed in both directions between Market Harborough and Kibworth while emergency services dealt with the incident and reopened by 6pm.
