Harborough Teenagers Urged To Apply For Covid-19 Jabs

Written by on 13th August 2021

Teenagers across Harborough are being invited to book a covid jab from today.

Those within three months of their 18th birthday you can book an appointment online.

There are also several walk in clinics operating across Leicestershire this weekend, which are open to 16 and 17-year-olds.

Caroline Trevithick, Executive Director of Nursing, Quality and Performance at Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Groups said: “Our local vaccination programme in LLR has been going from strength to strength thanks to the tremendous response of our local population, NHS staff and volunteers.

“I’d like to urge young people to come forward and get vaccinated so that they are protected against the virus ahead of going back to university or college next month.

“We have made it really easy for eligible young people to get their jab, so if you have received a text message invite, or an invite from your GP practice, please protect yourself and others by getting vaccinated. Alternatively, you can just turn up at one of our walk-in clinics from tomorrow and this weekend – no appointment is necessary.

“It’s really important you come forward and get vaccinated when it’s your turn.”
