Harborough Riverside Homes Scheme Given Go-Ahead

A multi-million pound plan to build riverside houses and apartments in Market Harborough was given the go-ahead last night by councillors.
The major part of the development on part of the former Harborough Rubber Site on the corner of St Mary’s Road and Kettering Road, will see 35 apartments built over four storeys, along with 10 town houses fronting the River Welland.
The historic derelict flour mill on the site will be turned into offices.
A seven-storey apartment block will also go up on a land opposite the railway station adjacent to the pedestrian bridge, to create a further 28 apartments and studio flats.
Both developments will be either side of the Welland Place retirement apartment building.
