Harborough Great Big Green Week Gets Underway

A national effort to stop climate change and encourage sustainable living is being backed in Market Harborough this week.

Harborough Great Big Green Week includes a host of events and activities at the Eco Village on St Mary’s Road and will culminate with an event on The Square on Saturday.

The Sustainable Harborough Community group is leading the activities.

Events at the Eco Village include a ‘Ready, Steady, Waste Less, Cook!’ competition tomorrow.

Two teams of Eco Village businesses, with special guest appearances, will create dishes from food just past a saleable condition and extending this theme food stalls promoting sustainable cuisine and produce will be running throughout the week.
