Council Demands To Be Told About ‘Local Lockdown Plans’

Harborough Council is demanding to be involved in plans for any future ‘local lock-downs’ that would impact the District.

There was no consultation before the measure was introduced in Leicester and its suburbs earlier this month.

Bosses say such decisions have a clear impact on areas just outside the zone and its crucial they are part of any discussions.

The Council has requested to be involved in a planned  government-led review of ‘lessons to be learned’ from the Leicester lockdown.
