Hallaton Bottle Kicking Cancelled For Second Year

The Hallaton Bottle Kicking has been cancelled for the second year running because of the pandemic.

Organisers of the traditional Easter Monday event say it would be impossible to hold it in a Covid-safe way.

They say their priority is always the health and safety of the people of Hallaton and Medbourne, as wellas the thousands of others who attend, and hope the event will return in 2022.

It is only the third time in the Bottle Kicking’s history of over 2000 years it won’t take place.
