Grassroots Democracy Set For Review

Grassroots local democracy across the Harborough District is set to be reviewed.
The move could see some Parish Councils merged with others and a change to the number of parish councillors.
Harborough Council is behind the Community Governance Review ,which is expected to be given the go-ahead at a meeting tonight, and would see all 91 parishes looked at.
The move is aimed at ensuring Parish Council or Parish Meetings are properly serving the communities they represent.
