Government Rejects Call to Review Kibworth Housing Plan

A bid to challenge plans for a new housing estate in Kibworth Beauchamp has been rejected by the government.
Harborough District Council approved plans for up to 32 affordable homes on land off Fleckney Road last month, despite concerns over traffic and conflict with the neighbourhood plan.

The Ministry of Housing, Community and Local Government said the “call-in policy makes it clear that the power to call in a case will only be used very selectively” and confirmed the Secretary of State had decided not to intervene, adding he was satisfied the application should be determined at a local level.
