Written by on 24th January 2022

Great Bowden Primary Academy has been granted planning permission to create two new classrooms.

The new modular building will replace a dilapidated mobile classroom.

The Learn Academies Trust, which the school belongs to, secured funding totalling £374,000 for the upgrade.

As well as providing better facilities for children and staff, the development will also help reduce the size of existing classes.

Building work is set to start around Easter and be completed for the start of the new school year in September.

£126,000 of the funding has come from ‘Section 106’ money, allocated to the school as a result of recent local housing developments, the rest from the Department of Education’s Condition Improvement Fund.
