Plenty of laughs are guaranteed as events forming part of Leicester Comedy Festival are held across the Harborough District.

They begin this evening and run until Sunday, with performances in Market Harborough, Foxton, Fleckney and Lutterworth.

The ‘Big Weekend’ will see events at Harborough Market on Saturday night and on Sunday, as the Market Hall is transformed into a theatre.

Laurie Bradley & Joanne Herdman have organised the ‘Fancy A Laugh’ show

There is also a stand-up show at Welland Park Academy’s Octagonal Theatre, on Friday evening.

Entitled ‘Fancy A Laugh’ it will feature four comedians and is being organised by friends Joanne Herdman and Laurie Bradley, who spoke to HFM:

Michael McKenzie will bring his NHS-themed show entitled ‘Bed 32’ to the King Richard III pub in the city, to support the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity.
