The future of a long-established food company’s presence in Market Harborough is unclear after its base was put up for sale.
The large warehouse and office complex on Great Bowden Road is home to Moguntia Food Group and is being marketed as a substantial manufacturing and distribution facility.
The company, formerly known as Sherriffs Foods, declined to comment when approached by HFM about its future plans or whether the sale could affect its operations in the town.

The Moguntia Food Group’s base in Market Harborough has been put up for sale
The site, adjacent to Market Harborough railway station, has been associated with food manufacturing and distribution for many years and remains one of the town’s most significant industrial premises.
In 2024, Moguntia Food Group sold its Fosters Foods brand to a competitor, but continues to operate other brands such as Hay Hampers from Market Harborough.
Commercial property agents handling the sale say they have been instructed to seek offers of £6.5 million for the site.
The marketing details describe the property as a major production, warehousing and office facility with extensive parking and servicing areas.
