Fundraising canoe challenge
Written by HFM on 18th August 2020
Two friends are to paddle from London to North Kilworth to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
Between 1st – 11th September 2020 Tim Peacock and Ian Shipley will cover the distance of around 125 miles in canoes they built themselves during
‘lockdown’.
They aim to be completely self-sufficient along the way and aim complete the challenge in eleven days by covering 12 miles a day along the Grand
Union Canal.
Ian and Tim will be filming their journey and providing daily live updates across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube: @kilworthcanoe200.
The duo have set a fundraising target of four thousand pounds – one pound for every 50 metres they paddle.
Anyone who would like to sponsor them can do so at
