Flytipped Waste Goes Up In Flames Near East Farndon

Firefighters tackled a blaze involving a large quantity of fly-tipped waste near East Farndon on Saturday night.
They were called to a field off Lubenham Road just after 10pm after receiving 999 calls about a large plume of smoke coming from the area.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A large quantity of fly-tipped waste, which included plastic netting, was on fire with crews using a hose reel jet and soil to extinguish the flames.
“The fire is believed to have started accidentally, and crews left the scene at 11.28pm.”
Fire crews from Northamptonshire and Leicestershire attended the incident.
