Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash on the A6 between Market Harborough and Desborough.
Firefighters released one casualty who was trapped in the wreckage, following the two-car collision near the turn for Dingley just before 2pm today.
Police say the injuries suffered by those involved are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service told HFM: “A crew from Rothwell arrived at the scene, just past the roundabout where the dual carriageway meets with the B576, and discovered that two cars had been involved in the collision.
“One person had managed to release themselves prior to our arrival, but firefighters helped to release another person who was trapped in one of the vehicles.
“Both casualties were left in the care of paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service.”
The road was closed, but has since re-opened.
