Fire Service Launches ‘Biker Down’ Campaign

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service has launched a new campaign to get motorcyclists to learn life-saving first aid skills.

Entitled ‘Biker Down Do It For Dave,’  it is named after a motorcyclist whose life was saved by a fellow biker who knew what to do when he suffered a cardiac arrest, having attended a free course run by the service.

There has been a rise in the number of motorcyclists involved in collisions of Leicestershire’s roads this year.

One of the new courses will take place at Market Harborough Fire Station in January and Watch Manager Kate Garrigan is encouraging people to sign-up for it:
