Emergency Services Respond To Multiple Collisions On A427

Emergency services attended three separate collisions on the A427 between Market Harborough and Corby this morning.

All the incidents occurred near Stoke Albany, with one vehicle leaving the carriageway and ending up in a ditch.

Police said no one was injured, though icy conditions and a possible oil spill were reported.

Two fire crews also assisted at the scene and the road was temporarily blocked.

A Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “We were called to a stretch of the A427 near Stoke Albany at about 8am, having been notified of three separate road traffic collisions in this area.

“Crews from Desborough and Corby attended and conducted a thermal scan of one vehicle, which was electric, and found no signs of heat. Firefighters left the scene in the hands of police by 8.30am.”
