Drivers Warned of Road Closures Across Market Harborough Area

Drivers are being warned about a series of road closures in and around Market Harborough because of upcoming roadworks.
Welland Park Road is shut for the next two days outside Welland Park Academy to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out pipe disconnection work.

Part of Roman Way will also close for up to four days from tomorrow for new water connection works, with diversions in place via Kings Head Place and Doddridge Road.
From next week, there will also be daytime and overnight closures on the A6 Rothwell and Desborough bypass, the A427 at Stoke Albany and Harborough Road in Desborough for surface dressing works.

North Northamptonshire Council says the road treatment is designed to extend the life of roads showing early signs of wear by improving skid resistance and sealing the surface against water damage.
Temporary 20mph speed limits will also be in place while loose chippings are cleared.
The daytime and overnight closures include the A6 Rothwell and Desborough bypass between June 3 and 16, the A427 Stoke Hill at Stoke Albany from June 1 to 14, and the B576 Harborough Road in Desborough from June 4 to 16.
