Motorists have questioned the need why one lane of the carriageway has been cordoned off for so long, with repairs appearing to be concentrated on the grass verge.
Richard Thompson from Kibworth told HFM: “It is ridiculous. It took me 45 minutes to get from Kibworth to Market Harborough and I didn’t see anyone working.
“This has been causing massive congestion and there seems to be no rush to get the work done and take the lights down.

Rachael Mitchell from Market Harborough added: “I’ve had to leave for work an hour earlier than normal – it is just ridiculous.

HFM has asked the company to respond to the points made by drivers.
