Driver Injured After Crashing Into Tree

A driver has been injured after a crash in Kelmarsh this morning.

Emergency services were called to Main Street after a car left the road and collided with a tree.

The woman was trapped and released by firefighters before being taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews from Rothwell and Kettering arrived at the scene at 9.15am and found that a car had collided with a tree on Main Road, close to Kelmarsh Hall.

“Firefighters used cutting equipment to help free the trapped driver from the vehicle, who was then treated by paramedics.

“The incident was left in the hands of Northamptonshire Police, with crews returning to their stations at roughly 10am.”
