Injured Driver Airlifted To Hospital After Crash On B6047

An injured driver has been taken to hospital by Air Ambulance after being injured in a crash on the B6047 this morning.
The man was driving a car that was involved in collision with a van on Melton Road, between Tur Langton and Church Langton, at around 8.45am.
Both vehicles left the carriageway and came to rest in a ditch.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service say the man was trapped in the wreckage of the car and was extricated by firefighters, before being airlifted to hospital in Coventry.
It is understood the van driver was not seriously hurt.
