Drink Driver Arrested After Police Stop Car With No Front Tyre

A driver was arrested for being more than twice the drink drive limit after Police stopped a car with no front tyre near Market Harborough.

Officers were alerted to the Vauxhall Corsa because of the loud noise the rim was making on the road.

The 24-year old woman was taken into custody after the car was stopped on the B6047 near the McDonald’s roundabout at around 9.30pm on Saturday.

It takes the number of drivers arrested this month for being under the influence of drink or drugs on Harborough’s roads to six.

Police are carrying out more roadside checks as part of the annual Christmas drink/drug campaign.
