Desborough Man Pleads Guilty To Murder

A Desborough man is one of two people to have admitted murdering a man in Kettering.

Keiton Underwood pleaded guilty during the eighth week of a trial, following the death of 34-year-old Ryan Burton on January 10th this year.

The 20-year-old, of Bridge Road, who had previously denied all the charges against him, also pleaded guilty to committing a separate offence of robbery on the same evening.

After Underwood changed his pleas, the judge at Northampton Crown Court directed the jury to formally return a guilty verdict — which they did.

Ace Hill, 19, from Corby, also changed his plea and admitted murder.

Ryan was murdered in Spring Rise Park in Kettering having suffered severe injuries to both his arms inflicted by one or more blades.

He died six days later in hospital after contracting sepsis due to the severity of his injuries.

Both men will be sentenced next month, while the trial continues at Northampton Crown Court for four remaining defendants who deny murder, including Connor White, 25, from Spencer Street, Rothwell.
