Desborough Firm Announces Expansion Plans Worth £10m

A Desborough packaging company has announced major expansion plans which have the potential to create 300 jobs over the next ten years.
VPK, formally Rigid Containers, wants to build new warehouses and industrial units on land adjacent to its base off Harborough Road, as part of a £10m investment.
The company, which already employs around 300 staff, has benefited from increased demand for packaging during the pandemic, including the big rise in on-line shopping.
Managing Director David Richardson told Hfm their current site is the ideal location to expand and grow the company:
A planning application for the expansion has been lodged with North Northamptonshire Council.
