Desborough Community Unites To Help Homeless Man

Kind-hearted people in Desborough have rallied round to ensure a homeless man won’t spend Christmas on the streets.
Over £700 has been raised so Matt can stay in a hotel for the next ten days, while cafes and restaurants are providing hot meals for him.
Isabel spotted Matt outside the Co-Op which triggered the appeal
The appeal was triggered when Isabel Ainsworth-Smith spoke to him outside the Co-op store and discovered he had been sleeping in a bin store behind the supermarket, while awaiting temporary accommodation from the council.
Feeling compelled to help, she decided to pay for Matt to stay the night at The George pub and asked if anyone else would like to do the same.
Matt says he has been overwhelmed by the kindness shown to him and Isabel, a teacher at Farndon Fields Primary School in Market Harborough, told HFM the support from the community has been amazing:
