Harborough Leisure Centre
A decision on whether Market Harborough will get a new Leisure Centre is set to be taken within the next three months.
Harborough Council set-aside £15m for the facility in 2017 and has been in discussion with companies interested in building and operating it, although has also been considering a major re-vamp of the current centre off Northampton Road.
A report recommending the preferred option will be considered by the authority’s Cabinet in December or January.
A new centre could be built in place of the existing one or at another location, potentially on the Airfield Farm site off Leicester Road.
