Crash in Wistow Prompts Emergency Response

Emergency services were called to a two-car collision on Kibworth Road in Wistow yesterday afternoon.

The incident was reported at around 4.30pm and attended by fire crews from Wigston and Market Harborough Fire Stations, along with East Midlands Ambulance Service and police.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service say one casualty had already self-extricated from their vehicle before firefighters arrived, while a second was released with the assistance of fire crews.

The vehicles were made safe before the incident was handed over to Leicestershire Police.

It is understood no-one was seriously injured, however a Leicestershire Police spokesperson declined to comment, stating a statement would only be issued if the crash was serious or fatal.
