Council To Get New Leader

Harborough Council is to get a new Leader.
Councillor Phil King was chosen for the role at a meeting of the ruling Conservative group last night and will take up the position next week, following the Annual meeting of the Council.
The member for Kibworth, who has been on the Council for 12 years, takes over from Neil Bannister, who has been at the helm since October 2017,
James Hallam, a Councillor in Great Glen, was chosen as Deputy Leader.
The process followed the local elections earlier this month, which saw the Tories remain the controlling group, although with a reduced majority.
