Council To Buy Homes After £1.7m Funding Boost

Harborough District Council is to receive £1.7m to buy homes for Ukrainian refugees and other families in crisis.
It is the only authority in Leicestershire to be part of the government initiative, called the Local Authority Housing Fund.
Because the Council does not have its own stock of housing, it will hand the money over to a housing association, who will provide around 14 homes for the scheme.
