Council Agrees To Delay Opening Of Link Road

Developers have been allowed to delay the opening a link road through a Market Harborough housing estate until August.
Harborough District Council has agreed to the move after hearing safety would otherwise be compromised, with construction traffic frequently crossing the road as house building continues on the Airfield Farm estate.
The council’s planning committee approved the application to delay the opening at a meeting last night.

The link road will connect one side of the estate with the other
The road between the A4304 at Lubenham Hill and the B6047 Leicester Road should now be open, because over 450 homes are occupied on the Airfield Farm Estate – a condition of the original planning permission for the site.
