Costa Drive-Thru Planned For Market Harborough Business Park

Costa Coffee will open an outlet on the outskirts of Market Harborough if plans to expand a business park are approved.

It is one of two drive-thru’s proposed for Airfield Business Park off the B6047 Harborough Road – no-one has yet been identified to take on the other.

Leicestershire County Council is behind the £16.m development, which also includes a large industrial building and two other buildings for industrial and office use.

The drive-thru’s would be located at the entrance to the business park, opposite Harborough Innovation Centre.

A Costa Coffee Spokesperson said that: “We confirm that a planning application has been submitted for a Costa Coffee store in Market Harborough, but currently we have no further updates to share on the potential development.”

The council has said the expansion has the potential to create around 250 jobs during the construction phase and when the new buildings are occupied, bringing the potential of an extra £11m to the local economy.

A planning application has been submitted this week.
