Concern Over Animal Neglect Reports

The RSPCA has received over 1,200 reports about neglected animals in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire in the past ten months.
The figures have been described as ‘alarming’ by the charity.
They have been released as part of its ‘Christmas Rescue’ campaign, which aims to support its frontline staff sent in to rescue them.

The RSPCA says the cost of living and more people getting animals as pets during the pandemic has contributed to the rise in calls.
