Community Rallies To Help Homeless Man

A heart-warming act of kindness in Market Harborough has seen the community come together to help a homeless man during freezing temperatures.
After recently arriving in the town with nowhere to stay, residents have stepped in to provide hotel accommodation, food, clothing and other essential items.
The man was found sleeping rough in a shop doorway in St Mary’s Place last night by resident Lisa Parratt, who shared an appeal on Facebook.
Within hours, people began donating to an online fundraiser, which has now raised almost £500.

Local shops and businesses have also offered support, including free meals and haircuts.
Marie Connor from the charity Hab Anti-Bullying and Mental Health also helped to co-ordinate the response.
Speaking to HFM, Lisa said she has been overwhelmed by the generosity shown by the community and thanked everyone who has offered help.
