Carnival Set To Be Biggest In Recent Years

Organisers of this Saturday’s Harborough Carnival hope its new feel will prove a success.
A new committee has been busy organising the event – which will include activities and live music on the Symington’s Rec right the way through til 8pm – later than during previous carnivals.
They’ll be the biggest parade for some years too, with 23 floats entered into it.
It’ll begin in tour of town at the earlier start time of 10.45am – just after around 800 runners take to the route as part of the Carnival of Running.
They’ll also be over 70 stalls at the Rec and former children’s TV entertainer Timmy Mallett will be the special guest.
