Car Park Improvement Work Underway

Work has begun to make improvements to Market Harborough’s biggest car park.
Shoppers have long been complaining about the poor condition of car park outside Sainsbury’s, with potholes scattered across the site, drainage covers damaged and streetlights not working.

Harborough District Council, which manages the car park, had also been pushing for the supermarket to act.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said, “We are currently carrying out some improvement works at our Market Harborough store’s car park, including road resurfacing and replacing the lights.
“We appreciate our customers’ patience while these works are completed over the next few weeks.”
Areas of the car park off Springfield Street will be closed while the work takes place.
