Cannabis Factory Discovered In House

A large cannabis factory has been found inside a house on a residential street in Great Glen.

200 plants, with a potential street value of tens of thousands of pounds, were discovered in what Police have described as a ‘sophisticated set-up’ at the large property in Coverside Road.

Officers gained entry to it yesterday following concerns from neighbours who reported people entering the house, which is being rented out,in the middle of the night.

Four bedrooms and the lounge were being used to grow the plants, which have been seized together with lighting and other equipment.

No-one was in the house at the time and officers say an investigation is now underway.
