There are calls for urgent action to deal with damage to a footbridge in Market Harborough.
Part of the wooden structure has collapsed, with a large hole posing a risk to pedestrians and cyclists who use the bridge off Rockingham Road, opposite the railway station.

Cllr Peter James, ward councillor for Little Bowden, is calling for the bridge to be temporarily closed until it can be made safe.
He spoke to HFM:
Cllr Phil King, Leader of Harborough District Council, said: “We are aware of this issue, which is on private land, and we have been working with partners to establish who owns the bridge so that they may take appropriate action to make it safe.”
