By-Election Candidates Revealed

Candidates representing six political parties will be standing in a by-election in Market Harborough next month.

The Conservatives, Labour, Reform UK, Liberal Democrats, Green party, Communist Party of Britain and an independent will contest the seat in the Logan Ward on Thursday July 17th.

The election for a place on Harborough District Council was triggered by the death of long-standing councillor Barbara Johnson in April.

The candidates are:

Jonny Austin – Reform UK

Jake Bolton – Green Party

Paul Bremner – Conservative Party

Roger Dunton – Liberal Democrats

Bridget Fitzpatrick – Labour Party

Robin Lambert – Independent

Peter Whalen – Communist Party of Britain.

Harborough District Council say polling cards are being delivered to electors in the area ahead of the vote and the polling station will be at the Octagonal Hall in Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church on Fairfield Road.
