Butchers To Re-Open

A Market Harborough butchers shop that closed last month after trading for over 60 years is to re-open.

‘The Meat Room’ has taken on the lease of the premises on Church Square and will spend £50,000 refurbishing it ahead of opening in mid-April.

The firm has three other shops, in Leamington Spa, Warwick and Twickenham, and will initially employ three people in Harborough.

The shop, which traded as W J Loomes before shutting last month, was Bates Butchers for many years.
