Bus & Car Involved In Crash On A508

Three people including a young boy were injured when a bus driver collided with the rear of a car on the A508 near Market Harborough.
Emergency services were called to the collision between Kelmarsh and Great Oxendon on Saturday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Northamtonshire Police told HFM: “The collision occurred at about 2.30pm on Saturday, March 15, and involved a bus and a black Audi A4 car.
“The incident occurred on the A508 (Main Road) between Kelmarsh and Great Oxendon, at the junction at Arthingworth, when the bus collided with the rear of the car.
“As a result of the collision, the driver of the car – a woman in her 40s – and her two passengers – a young boy and a woman in her 60s – all sustained slight injuries.”
No-one on the Stagecoach bus was injured.
A Stagecoach spokesperson told HFM: “We can confirm that one of our vehicles was involved in an incident on the A508 on Saturday afternoon.
“Our thoughts are for the welfare of those affected by the incident.
“Safety is our absolute priority and we will carry out a full investigation into the circumstances as well as assisting police with any inquiries.”
